New Quest Realm: Fire II

May 17, 2011 2 comments

The CA devs have released a new Quest Realm: Land of Fire II. This realm can only be unlocked after completing the Land of Mist III, including the special mission where you get the orb for the Aurora battle. Along side this there is a new boss fight released: Ambrosia.

The CA Wikia doesn’t have a page up yet, but when it does it should be here. Since I am nowhere near being able to unlock this realm I’ll use this CA forum thread as reference.

From the Forum I can see there are 10 main quests, with 3 subquests each (for SP and Gold farming). There is also a special mission at the end which drops the Orb of Ambrosia. The orb is used to summon the monster battle Ambrosia.

There are no new units released with this Realm, however you will need more Obsidian Gear and Platinum Knights. Here is a list showing the unit/equipment requirements for this new realm:

  • 80 Obsidian Armor (Previously 77)
  • 78 Obsidian Amulet (Previously 75)
  • 75 Obsidian Shield (Previously 74)
  • 75 Obsidian Sword (Previously 73)
  • 66 Obsidian Helmet (Previously 65)
  • 45 Platinum Knight (Previously 43)

It’s not a great leap of gear over the previous realm. However at that level the Obsidian gear is still very expensive!!

If I get more worthy info I’ll post it on the blog, but otherwise have fun looking at a realm most of us are nowhere near to opening! The Ambrosia battle will have her own post here.

New Festival Game: Heart of Darkness! New weak general: Persephone!

May 17, 2011 1 comment

Yesterday the CA devs opened a game in the Festival called Heart of Darkness. You can get there by going to Town > Festival > Games. Then just click on the icon for Heart of Darkness.

There you will see a “mini-CA” game.

This game appears to use only energy, but not the energy from  your main account. Instead in this mini-game you have all new stamina/energy/health/gold/experience.

The Fires you see on the map are quests that need to be completed. Here are some basic things about this new interface:

  • The fires show on the map are quest locations. Kinda like the quest maps used in Land of Fire and Land of Earth.
  • Just click on the green quest button to do quests. It will show your influence at the bottom just like in normal quests.
  • Clicking recharge will allow you spend 10FP to refill energy. (I wouldn’t do that here, but that’s me). There is a confirmation asking if you really want to do that.
  • Clicking the green orb will minimize the quest info. You can click it again to bring it back up.
  • There is a black bar on the left hand side of the interface. If you mouse-over that you can see a  list of the quests.

*** Special note. When you level you will need to allocate points to your stats. After allocating your points click “SUBMIT” right below where you allocated your stats. A lot of people have been missing this and just clicked the little X instead. If you don’t click submit your won’t get your points allocated (but you don’t lose them either).

If you complete the quests up to and including “Darkest Hour” (a 1 click 25 energy quest) you will get the new general Persephone. This will show up back in the main game, not in the mini-game. Here is the info on her:

Persephone

Lore: “The Princess of the Fairies from a far away land where the Demi God of War makes his home.”

Abilities: When attacked in guild battle, X damage done to you is deflected back on the attacker.

Level 1: 7/7   deflect 2 damage
Level 2: 8/8   deflect 5 damage
Level 3: 9/9   deflect 7 damage
Level 4: 10/10   deflect 10 damage

L4 ATT PWR: 17
L4 DEF PWR: 17

She is basically a weaker version of Daphne (an FP general from February). If you really care about deflecting damage back in guild battles then I would go for Daphne and deflect back 20 damage.

Even though this general may not be powerful I would still go for her. It’s a free general and the quests don’t take any energy away from the main CA game.

Festival Tavern Quest for Penelope

This is old news, but the Tavern in the Town Festival is now open for Penelope.  To get there go to “Town” > “Tavern” > “Quests”. Here it will allow you to choose a general for one of Celesta’s Quests. Previously I have posted about the Strider, Sophia, and Dragan festival quests.

There is a walk-through available on the CA Wiki to get the rewards. Basically you need to solve a series of riddles using items. This does not appear to use the alignment points as with the previous hero quests (but they are still there).

If you click on the inventory on the right side of the alignment bar it will show what items you have in the quests.

There are 4 rewards that can be gotten out of this quest. To get all four rewards you must successfully pass all three riddles and get a high grade.
Here are the items available from this quest:

Hero Medals (x2)

You can get up to 2 hero medals. Each Hero Medal will increase Penelope’s maximum level by 1. This means after getting both medals you will have a level 6 Penelope as a hero.

Silver Light Training Manual

Offhand (Shield), 4/4, +2 energy when Penelope is equipped.

Equips to Penelope.

Faith Amulet

Amulet, 8/11, +6 Stamina when Penelope is equipped.

Equips to Penelope.

None of these items are worth a lot. But it is cool having a level 6 general. Plus its always nice to have extra gear equipped to said general. If you are low-level Penelope may make an OK leveling general to get the extra energy and stamina. But other than that I only completed the quests to see what it was all about.

Festival Tavern Quest for Dragan

May 2, 2011 1 comment

This is old news, but the Tavern in the Town Festival is now open for Dragan.  To get there go to “Town” > “Tavern” > “Quests”. Here it will allow you to choose a general for one of Celesta’s Quests. Previously I have posted about the Strider tavern quest and the Sophia tavern quest.

There is a walk-through available on the CA Wiki. The walk through I used is down in the Dragan section. You will see link that says “Short walk-through”; click that and it will show the steps needed to take. I had to do the second pass of the walk-through twice to get enough alignment points. On the CA forum Nyphur has posted some tips if you want to try it yourself.

Basically you need to do the quests to get 8 good and 6 evil alignment rating. Blue choices are “good” and red choices are “evil”. You will see a bar that has your alignment rating like the one pictured below.

If you click on the inventory on the right side of the alignment it will show what items you have in the quests.

There are 2 known rewards that can be gotten out of this quest. It appears if you get an alignment rating of 8 for good and 6 for evil you should have the medals. The two medals are used to increase Dragan’s level.
Here are the items available from this quest:

Hero Medals (x2)

You can get up to 2 hero medals. Each Hero Medal will increase Sophia’s maximum level by 1. This means after getting both medals you will have a level 6 Sophia as a hero.

The medals are not worth a lot. But it is cool having a level 6 general. However I would not waste energy on these quests if you have needs elsewhere.

Festival Tavern Quest for Sophia

May 2, 2011 2 comments

This is old news, but the Tavern in the Town Festival is now open for Sophia.  To get there go to “Town” > “Tavern” > “Quests”. Here it will allow you to choose a general for one of Celesta’s Quests. Previously I have posted about the Strider tavern quest.

There is a walk-through available on the CA forum or on the CA Wiki to get the rewards (I used the CA forum walk-through to get all the rewards). Basically you need to do the quests to get about 14 good and 14 evil alignment rating. Blue choices are “good” and red choices are “evil”. You will see a bar that has your alignment rating like the one pictured below.

If you click on the inventory on the right side of the alignment it will show what items you have in the quests.

There are 4 rewards that can be gotten out of this quest. It appears if you get a rating of around 14 for both good and evil you should have the medals. The two medals are used to increase Sophia’s level; then there are two bows that equip to Sophia. The first bow is cursed and reduces her attack; the cursed bow is then traded for a bow that increases her attack.
Here are the items available from this quest:

Hero Medals (x2)

You can get up to 2 hero medals. Each Hero Medal will increase Sophia’s maximum level by 1. This means after getting both medals you will have a level 6 Sophia as a hero.

Cursed Bow

Weapon, 1/1, -5 Attack to Sophia.

Equips to Sophia. This cursed item is used to get the better arcane bow. Once you get the arcane bow this will leave your inventory.

Arcane Bow

Weapon, 17/14, +6 attack to Sophia.

Equips to Sophia. You must have the cursed bow before it can traded for this bow.

None of these items are worth a lot. But it is cool having a level 6 general. Plus its always nice to have extra gear equipped to said generals. However I would not waste energy on these quests if you have needs elsewhere.

Festival Tavern Quest is open for Strider

April 4, 2011 2 comments

This is old news, but the Tavern in the Town Festival is now open.  To get there go to “Town” > “Tavern” > “Quests”. Here it will allow you to choose a general for one of Celesta’s Quests (currently only Strider is available). These quests appear to work similar to the Epic Quests.

There is a walk-through available on the CA forum to get the rewards. Basically you need to do the quests to get about 15 good and 15 evil rating. Blue choices are “good” and red choices are “evil”. You will see a bar that has your alignment rating like the one pictured below.

There are 4 rewards that can be gotten out of this quest. It appears if you get a rating of around 15 for both good and evil you should have all four items to be gotten from the quests. There are two medals to increase Strider’s level; then there are two items that equip to Strider.

Hero Medals (x2)

You can get up to 2 hero medals. Each Hero Medal will increase Strider’s maximum level by 1. This means after getting both medals you will have a level 6 Strider as a hero.

Redeeming Light

Magic, 3/5, +5 energy when Strider is equipped.

Equips to Strider. This is the reward for getting good alignment points in the Tavern Quest.

Amulet of Despair

Amulet, 6/5, +2 atack to Strider.

Equips to Strider. This is the reward for getting evil alignment points in the Tavern Quest.

None of these items are worth a lot. But it is cool having a level 6 general. Plus its always nice to have extra gear equipped to said generals. However I would not waste energy on these quests if you have needs elsewhere.

New Quest Realm: Land of Mist III

March 27, 2011 2 comments

On March 24th the CA devs released a new quest realm: Land of Mist III. To unlock this realm the special mission “The Source” must be completed in Mist II (the previous realm).

Here is the blurb posted by Vulcan with its release:

Your journey through the Land of Mist continues. There is a dark presence that lingers within you but you have little time to worry about that as you continue to track down the source of the scourge. Fight through the Land of Mist and confront a powerful foe.

The CA Wiki has a page for Mist III out there already. Here are some highlights of this realm:

  • There are 10 main quests
  • Each main quest has 3 sub-quests (sp farming!)
  • This realm does require more obsidian gear and platinum knights. But it does not seem a steep increase in requirements, on person on the forum said it took less than 100billion gold.
  • The quests are completing with much less energy than the last few realms.

The special mission at the end has a chance drop for the Orb of Aurora. It has stats of 0/0. However it allows to summon the new boss Aurora (separate post here).
