Attacks made in Conquest Expansion to show in the defender’s battle news

December 12, 2011 1 comment

This was listed in the CA changelog for 12/9/2011:

Now allows attacks made in Conquest Expansion to show in the defender’s battle news.

Not a big change.  But does give a good retaliation place for some PvPers.

For anyone that uses SuperRewards on web3 this is no longer an option. The changelog for today shows the devs have removed this and replaced it with Google Wallet. Here is the changelog entry for today:

Daily Changelog – 11/23/2011

Castle Age
Changes

  • Favor Point transactions on Web3 will now be done with Google Wallet.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Have a wonderful and safe holiday.

Note: Please allow up to one business day for these changes to occur. Also, if you are still experiencing some of the problems that we fixed, please clear your browser cache and try again. If the problem still persists, please send Support a ticket via Facebook through the respective game.

I’m guessing they will miss out on some revenue because of this.. but I’m sure they have reasons for making this change.

Work-around to the small screen sending gifts in CA

November 20, 2011 Leave a comment

When you are trying to send gits in the CA interface the screen may be too small and only show 1 small row of friends.  This appears to be a Facebook issue that affects many games, not just CA.

The workaround to this is to ‘right-click’ in that small row of people and choose “open link in new tab”. You will now have a full-page to send your gifts from.

An update on the CA issues from Tass

November 18, 2011 Leave a comment

Tass updated the thread on the CA forum with a couple of new posts. This is in regards to the server issues that have plagued CA all day. Here are the 2 updated posts from Tass:

Post 170

Some issues especially issues that seem to happen at certain times of the day and not others are generally not related to our code.

The issues we have been experiencing since the beginning of the week have been occurring at non-peak hours, and seems to be related to connectivity between servers within our server provider’s internal network.

We did not release any content in CA or HOD early in the week, and these issues arose simultaneously on both fronts, even though CA and HOD operate on different servers and use a different code base.

We are looking into the issue and are hoping to resolve it as soon as we can.

Post 177 (In response to someone saying they need to find a new provider).

While moving the system is definitely an option, it does come with other risks. We have a rather large system with multiple servers and a lot of data that takes time to move.

We are trying to make the decision that makes the most sense but the decision itself is not simple.

So as it stands there is no ETA.
