New Demi Item: Retribution Armor!

June 6, 2011 2 comments

The CA devs have finally released the new Azeron demi item: Retribution Armor. This item is added to the Azeron chain of blessing rewards. The last demi-item to be released was two months ago: the Moonfall Battlegear from Aurora. For anyone not receiving daily demi-blessings see my old post about why its necessary!

To get this item you will need to reach 6500 demi-points for Azeron. It counts as item type of Armor. Here are the stats for this item:

Attack: 15
Defense: 23
Divine Power: 10

** Divine Power helps to pierce the armor of certain monsters with Divine Armor. See the CA Wikia post on Divine Items for more info.

Attack Battle Power: 31.1
Defense Battle Power: 33.5

This armor does not fall within the top 10 for attack or defense. It also has the same Divine Power of 10 as the Moonfall Battlegear and Tempest Plate. So, if you already have the MB or TP I wouldn’t go after this (other than to get more stamina!!!). I was kinda hoping this item would have a Divine Power of at least 20 since we had to wait so long for it.

On a side note I did not receive this item until I prayed to Azeron, even though I had more than enough points. Maybe that’s how it has worked before when a new item comes out you more than meet the requirements to and I never noticed. Once I received a blessing from Azeron I seen the following:

The Retribution Armor’s not a great ‘epic’ item, but it is a good item to have. Plus getting extra stamina can never hurt!

New Demi Item: Moonfall Battlegear!

April 4, 2011 2 comments

The CA devs have released another new demi item: Moonfall  Battlegear. This item is added to the Aurora chain of blessing rewards. This is right on the heels of the Lionheart Seal being released from the Corvintheus demi-blessings. For anyone not receiving daily demi-blessings see my old post about why its necessary!

To get this item you will need to reach 6500 points. It counts as item type of Armor. Here are the stats for this item:

Attack: 10
Defense: 26
Divine Power: 10

** Divine Power helps to pierce the armor of certain monsters with Divine Armor. See the CA Wikia post on Divine Items for more info.

Attack Battle Power: 28.2
Defense Battle Power: 33

For defense power this armor falls in 7th place , right behind the Gladiator Plate. For attack power it falls down at 14th place for armor (provided my list is correct).

I’ll go after this because I like to have all of my demi rewards. It’s not a great ‘epic’ item, but it is a good item to have. Plus with guild wars getting extra health from Aurora isn’t a bad idea.

Tempest Plate missing – known issue

March 30, 2011 1 comment

I’ve had a couple of army members mention their Tempest Plate was missing. This is a Known Issue listed by Kori on the CA Forum in Tech Support. Here is the part of Known Issues announcement dealing with this:

Tempest Plate missing – 3/17/2011
Some users are missing Tempest Plate when they obtain one of the newly added Demi reward item.
Please let Support know and they can replace the missing item for you.

The Tempest Plate will show up in your keep in the “Divine Items” section (pictured above). To get the Tempest Plate you must have 6500 demi-points from Ambrosia. If you’re not sure why you need to collect demi-points see this old post.

New Demi Item: Lionheart Seal!

March 21, 2011 3 comments

The CA devs have released a new demi item: Lionheart Seal. This item is added to the Corvintheus chain of blessing rewards. For anyone not receiving daily demi-blessings see my old post about why its necessary!

To get this item you will need to reach 6500 points. It apparently counts as item type of Amulet. Here are the stats for this amulet:

Attack: 20
Defense: 30

Attack Battle Power: 41
Defense Battle Power: 44

Its attack power puts it in 12th place in the Amulet list, right behind the Soulless Pendant. For defense power it falls in 10th place, right behind the Signet of Sylvana.

It also falls well short of the 68 Attack Battle Power provided by the Moonfall Amulet (a demi-reward from Aurora). So if you’re looking for a good ‘free’ amulet I would probably go after the Moonfall Amulet first. But this amulet does give possible reason to follow Corvintheus, his reward chain is considered the weakest and skipped by many.

I’ll go after this because I like to have all of my demi rewards. I do like the fact they are offering more rewards, it makes me hope they will soon add more demi-quests!!

Visit the Oracle every day!!

May 25, 2010 4 comments

Games such as Castle Age rely upon skill points which can be allocated into energy, stamina, attack and defense (thus far health is of little value to most CA players, so I’ll leave that off the list). I’ve heard people say that Castle Age should give away a skill point every day like Mafia Wars does now. Well, they do!!!  They do it by means of “daily blessings” found in the Oracle section. Many CA players do not even realize this until they’ve played the game for a couple of months, and lost out on a LOT of free skill points.

Instead of giving skill points directly, Castle Age allows player to receive a blessing once a day from one of 5 demi-powers. The can be found inside CA by going to “Oracle” then “Demi-Power”. Below is a list of the demi-powers and what they offer.

Ambrosia: +1 max energy
Malekus: +1 max attack
Corvintheus:  +1 max defense
Aurora: +1 max health
Azeron: +1 max stamina

Once you receive blessing from a demi-power you must wait 24 hours before you can receive another blessing. The only exception to this is Azeron, which requires a 48 hour wait. This is because stamina requires 2 skill points, so to keep game balance they require 2 days between blessings. You do not have to receive blessings from the same demi-power each time, instead you can rotate to allocate skill points as you wish.

Receiving the demi-power blessings has other benefits as well: free swag! Every time you receive a blessing you will receive 105 demi-points specific to the demi-power in question (210 for Azeron). As you reach certain thresholds of demi points you will automatically get items and open up demi-quests. The demi-point counter never resets, so when you get an item it will continue to count up until you get the next item.

I will cover the demi-quests in another post. Right now though I will say the items you get from the daily blessings are well worth it. The demi-point rewards have a lot of weapons, favor points, and energy/stamina potions. Even better is the high-end loot. For instance when you reach 4500 Aurora demi-points you will receive the Moonfall Amulet. With stats of 40/40 it is the best amulet available in the game.

If you are new to CA you must not forget to do this every day. The extra points really do add up over time!
